Comments: Not a bad race. This would be a much better race if more people showed up. VERY low frills. I think only about 20 people showed up this year and the striders' web page doesn't even post results for this race. But really, this is an excellent race to PR on. I did so last year, and I still can't for the life of me figure out how. Very flat course. Conditions are usually quite good. Temp in the 50's, little or no wind, overcast. Perfect. Water stops at only 4, 6.5, and 9 miles, but that's plenty for a half. Nice scenery, on the jogging trail along the Snake river. The trail winds through 3 or four parks, including Chestnut and Swallows. Very few opportunities to be hit by a car.
