The course is reasonably staffed, with plentiful aid stations. It is a hook-shaped out and back course, going south through 10 and north through 13, then return opposite. It's somewhat scenic and rural, though too much of it is within 100 yards of I-5 (noisy). Ok, so I keep badmouthing it, but I had a really good run. Elevation < 200ft, so there's plenty of air. And 50 degrees seem downright warm coming from the 20 deg runs I'd been doing all January in North Idaho. Plus (miracle) the rain held until I finished, whence it dumped (snicker). It was actually sunny and warm at mile 18, and the most gentle wispy sun-shower cooled us at mile 20. Very refreshing. There was a 10kt south wind, but it didn't hurt much at the start and the tailwind on the last 10 miles helped a lot. But as a general rule, I wouldn't count on the weather being that nice.
