Comments: This is a True Blue Monkey Event. Hosted by Roy Moxley, with the finish line a reception at his house on Prune Orchard Road, this event is by invitation only, and Roy (aka Bwald Blue Monkey) invited all Blue Monkeys, and I think we had 7 or 8 there, including on boy on a bicycle (Itchy Blue Monkey). The race is actually quite a tough 4 miles, starting at the LDS Church on Almotta Road (see map), and following a gravel road uphill until the final half mile, which is steep downhill to the finish line in front of Roy's House. And if the wind is blowing at all, it's a headwind. Count on it. The is a five star event because of the reception/potluck breakfast that follows in Roy's backyard. Look for the invite next year, and attend!
