Well, I put up with it, but I didn't like it. A deranged, privaledged private school kid, with severely annoying quirks of speech narrates yet another desctructive episode in his life. He leaves school, having not really tried, and wastes time and money around NYC for a couple days before heading home. I wanted to yell "get a life, and do something with it!" Evidently psychological problems have something to do with it, but I had a hard time grasping that.
An interesting side note: He visits the Metropolitan Museum on Central Park and describes it with surprisingly close accuracy to the movie Night at the Museum. I read one while the other was in the theaters. Interesting.
