| Handoff: For the Evil Blue Monkeys from leg 2 to leg 3. That's Nick Davis handing off to Cody Tews (Gangrenous). At this point we started switching who was on what team, just to keep the fun teams together. Here we actually changed numbers on the runners, so the racer organizers wouldn't know. Later we just got lazy and didn't switch numbers. A 56 would run in and a 55 would run out, confounding the race exchange personnel no end. |

| The Pass: Here's the pass going downhill. If you look closely you will see the beginings of great anguish for Spiffy, and more for the rest of us. (Eeeewwwwww, I bet that hurts). |
| Bloody Blue Monkey: I think we're going to name a whole team after this guy next year -- the Bloody Blue Monkey, Spiffy as captain. The rain-soaked shirt rubbed his right nipple raw, but did he stop? Oh No! He just kept going. The rest of us immediately put on bandaids. |

| The Little Barrel: Yes, we have a bigger one, which we will have out and about this summer. |
| Speedy Handoff: Handoff from Jason Heaton to Lance SpeedMonkey, legs 4 and 5 on the Speedy team. Lance had to run legs 5 and 9 because of the aformentioned failure of one of our speedy runners to show. Lance did a great job keeping the speedy monkeys in the awards. Two other speedy monkeys ran two legs (planned), but you'll have to check the results sheet to see who, 'cause I don't remember right now. |
